Cemetery planting

A cemetery is often a beautifully designed place with harmonious lines and fitting vegetation.
Despite its emotional significance, a cemetery is usually also a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing park — a place people want to return to.
Planting design depends greatly on the chosen layout. Our plant mats have now been installed in many cemeteries.

The reason cemetery managers and designers choose our product is that the plant mats provide the desired mature appearance immediately and are low-maintenance from day one.
Our ground covers are also suitable for sloped areas such as embankments and urn mounds.

Low-maintenance cemetery planting

Because cemeteries are often large, their maintenance is time-consuming and costly.
To reduce maintenance efforts and keep the grounds looking neat and cared for over time, it is wise to choose low-maintenance materials, including vegetation.
Our ready-to-use plant mats are a great example: they are pre-grown in the nursery until they completely cover the soil.
They form a dense green layer that blocks sunlight from reaching the soil, preventing weed growth right from the first day after installation.

Urn mound

An urn mound is a gently sloping earthen structure containing urn chambers or niches.
To prevent the soil from washing away, as with embankments, plant mats are the ideal solution.
Their strong root system protects the slope from heavy rain.
The mats act like a sponge: they absorb water and release it gradually into the ground.
About three weeks after installation, the plant mats are well rooted.
During the first weeks, Covergreen slope pins can be used to keep the mats securely in place.
